About the Exhibition

“Beyond Horizons” is not merely an exhibition for me; it is a personal journey suspended between the skies and the earth—a visual diary narrating the multifaceted story of my beloved city life and the great architectural wonder, the Taj Mahal. The paintings featured in the exhibition embody an Impressionistic approach, experimenting with Acrylics and watercolors. This artistic approach involves capturing the essence of the subject through bold strokes, vibrant colors, and a sense of spontaneity.

In paintings featuring the aerial view of Mumbai, I attempted to capture the heartbeat of city life, showcasing iconic places such as the Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Marine Drive, Bandra Worli Sea Link, and more. I tried to transform the vibrant chaos of the city into a symphony of colors and forms, with towering skyscrapers juxtaposed against sprawling slums and the glitzy glamour of the south meeting the resilient spirit of the suburbs. With thorough attention to detail and a play of light and shadow, my goal is to reveal the intricacies of Mumbai’s urban landscape—a canvas that honors countless stories and dreams.

The paintings of Taj Mahal extend an invitation to perceive it not merely as an architectural wonder or a timeless symbol of love on the banks of the Yamuna River in Agra, but as a living entity breathing with the rhythm of the day. Through my perspective, I aim to evoke a sense of wonder and appreciation for the timeless beauty that reveals itself when one ventures beyond the familiar horizons of daylight and twilight.

My paintings of Kolkata capture the dynamic essence of urban life, portraying the constant motion of the city, the lively movement of people, the charm of old architectures, the iconic Kolkata heritage tram, misty foggy mornings, the romance of the rainy season, and the interplay of light and dark shades along the bustling streets. Each brushstroke aims to convey the vibrant energy and the hustle and bustle that define the unique character of Kolkata’s urban lifes.

I would want you connect not just cursorily but pleasurably, with wholehearted resonance embedded in these artworks. Allow yourself to look and feel “Beyond Horizon” and be immersed in my artistic narrative.
