First of all I would like to thank Northwest Watercolor Society for giving me this award and juror Keiko Tanabe for accepting my painting worthy enough to have this honorable achievement.
This is my one of the ‘Mumbai series’ paintings based on a place in famous Mohammad Ali Road of Mumbai city. It is very old and a vintage place. I have travelled so many times by this way. I always like this areas dramatic lights and shades, vintage colors, noise, movements of vehicles, various human figures who come to visit Mumbai from different places. Including all the spot has always pushed me to paint.
Whenever I see this composition with wide perspective, I use to admire the highlights of color, containing this old architecture and all. It constantly seems to be a busy street with old taste to have.
I always wish this painting to have a part in International Exhibitions. Now that the painting has taken a place in the show, I’m feeling very glad as well as excited. Once again thanks to Northwest Watercolor Society for giving this acknowledgement and a prestigious place to the painting.
