Young Artist AnanataMandal Brings to city his engaging works in water color.

He has not turned 30 yet but has more than 30 awards to his credit, and has participated in solo and group shows in India and abroad.

Bengali artist AnantaMandal may be young in years but has a seasoned vision that he brings to life on canvas through the medium of water color, acrylic and oil color.

The painter, however, is showcasing works in water color only at his maiden solo exhibition in city at the IFM Art portfolio gallery in sector 9.

A graduate from Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta University (Kolkata), Ananata has 11 international Awards in his kitty along with several national and regional awards.

The talented artist, who is visiting the city for the first time, has displayed his art works in US, Dubai, UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Now based in Mumbai, Ananta, since his college days , has had a highly individual style , which is deeply contemporary in sensibility.

Here, the artist has displayed 20 unique exhibits where he has brilliantly captured some of the fluid  moments of cities such as Rajasthan, Srinagar ,Mumbai and Kolkata.

He has blended lines and hues to catch the rhythm of different cities’ life in a transparent treatment  while translating them into Art-work.

“I’ve been capturing various  facets of rain-soaked cities, seascapes since college days, I also love to paint steam  engines  as there is a lot of scope for an artist in it,” says Ananta whose youthful exuberance and wide-eyed optimism reflects in his painting.

His watery strokes come from many things-the hustle and bustle of the city, lush forest , tropical beaches and the many moods of nature. His art works are certainly a feast to eyes of art lovers.

The exhibition is on till December 26, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
