Planet Art Presented “The City of Joy”, an exhibition of recent works works by Ananta Mandal from Kolkata at Lokayata, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi.

Ananta Mandal was as student of visual art of Govt. College of Art & Craft, Kolkata. He is one of the finest watercolorist, His painting in water color are outstanding, with realistic approach, where life is really is. His works “In Road”, “Queen of Kolkata”, “Busy Morning” etc evoke strong feeling rather than thought. Most of his water colors are played with brown, red & blue, punctuated with yellow. It seems, after the great water colorist like Shyamal Dutta Roy, Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Sudip Roy & Paresh Maity – the young artist Ananta mandal has made his presence felt.
